Swapped the bush for the beach this camp! A camp that was literally straight out of an Adam Sandler movie.
A weekend full of firsts. First Saving True Blues footy game, first '4wd' truck and for many, the first time driving on sand. A massive turn out of 32 cars filled with the best people all gathering for one reason, to raise awareness for suicide and mental health.
Learnt very quick that sand gets everywhere... literally everywhere and everyone loves to tell you that! Learnt a few times just how soft sand can be after 32 cars chew it up all day, and learnt that all it takes is a simple chat around a fire to open the minds of everyday aussies and help them see how valuable a life can be. As always, our campfire convos are taken very seriously and are welcoming to all attending to speak up if they need anything.
Lots of new faces for me around camp for me, personally one of my favourite things about doing these camps. Meeting new people, seeing where they're from and what they do, talking all things cars, then making a friendship that will last a lifetime.
And for all the old faces there, how lucky am i that they keep coming back. What a way to spend the young years building lasting memories with a good bunch all round me.
What a time to be alive.
