4WD & CAMP 4 MENTAL HEALTH #4 LAKE WALLACE/ZIG ZAG
11TH-13TH NOVEMBER 2022
Our recent "Saving True Blues" camp at Lake Wallace was a resounding success. The weekend was filled with laughter, shared experiences, and a genuine sense of community. From seasoned adventurers to young families, the diverse group of 30+ participants came together to raise awareness about mental health.
Swapping the usual rugged terrain for the picturesque setting of Lake Wallace proved to be an excellent decision. The serene lake and surrounding scenery provided a tranquil backdrop for our activities, which included friendly games of backyard cricket and the occasional impromptu spud gun battle.
However, the highlight of the weekend was undoubtedly the heartfelt conversations that unfolded around the campfire. For nearly two hours, we shared personal experiences and openly discussed mental health challenges. These honest and vulnerable exchanges fostered a deep sense of connection and understanding among the group.
This experience reinforced the importance of prioritizing mental health and seeking support from loved ones. Remember, it's okay to not be okay. Check in on your friends, family, and colleagues.
