I don't think i've ever laughed so much and so hard in my life...
The 'Bridle Track' is an iconic track for the 4x4 enthusiast in NSW, of course we had to add this one to the list. This location is not only full of Australian history, but is home to some of the most beautiful rivers, creek crossing and mountain reserves i've ever seen.
“The Bridle Track is the most well known four wheel drive track in Bathurst. Originally built as the first road between Bathurst and Hill End during the gold rush. It earned its name by due to the narrowest sections where travellers had to guide their horses by the the bridle.”
While the weather may not have been in our favour, my god didn't we make the most out of it. It honestly got to the point where we just didn't care, so out came the footy and a real REAL muddy game of NRL... or just watching Byron run and fall over (ya had to be there). I've never seen such a muddy, dirty bloke so happy, then minutes later his girlfriend Izzy is patting him down head to toe to get into the swag for a nap... mind you he was spotless at this point. Love your work Iz.
There's no weather in the world that would stop all of us getting around a little fire and having a good old 'true blue' chat. We talked about the highs of our lives and the lows, but knowing we were all there for mental health made it that little bit easier to get the hard stuff out.
And i can't forget to mention the game 'Kings Cup'. Have never laughed so hard in my entire life.
This trip alongside many, was one i'll never forget. Like i said, the weather may not have been our friend, but that didn't stop one person from getting out there with us and coming together all for suicide and mental health prevention.
A True Blue weekend.
